SILVER MEDAL, Favourite Neghbourhood Cinema Category, April 24th 2009

The Screen at Baker Street is delighted to have won the silver medal in the “Best Neighbourhood Cinema” category of the Smooth Radio Love London Awards. The award, sponsored by The Independent and ITV,  sought to find London’s most loved neighbourhood venues, ones that are dear to the hearts of local residents.

“To be recognised as one of London’s best loved neighbourhood cinemas is an honour and what makes this award even more special is that it was voted for by our customers,” says Tamzin Morley, manager at Screen at Baker Street, “we want people to have a fantastic experience every time they come to see a film, so recognition like this tells us that we must be doing something right!”

Everyman Belsize Park wins RAAM Award of Excellence, sponsored by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures in the 2009 Cinema Industry Awards

Everyman Belsize Park was among the winners at this year's RAAM Awards for the UK film distribution and cinema industry winning the Award of Excellence in the Best Independent Cinema UK category. The RAAM Awards are recognised as the Oscars and BAFTAs for the UK cinema industry. Everyman Belsize Park beat stiff competition from across the country to receive the Award of Excellence as one of the best independent cinemas in the UK.

"The number of entries this year was the highest ever and the level of competition in every category was extremely fierce. Everyman Belsize Park was judged by an independent panel of film distributors to be among the best in the UK and fully deserving of the recognition awarded.
